Restoration Technician
A Restoration Technician at New Method Restoration responds to residential and commercial water damage emergencies throughout New Jersey, performing mitigation, structural drying, and restoration tasks with professionalism, efficiency, and a customer-first mindset.
Key Responsibilities:

Assess the extent of water, mold, or structural damage and determine salvageable materials.

Extract water, remove moisture, and set up drying/dehumidifying equipment following industry standards.

Remove damaged materials (drywall, insulation, flooring) and perform demolition as needed.

Clean, sanitize, and deodorize affected areas; pack out salvageable contents.

Operate hand/power tools and specialized restoration equipment.
-
Communicate with clients about process, safety, and timelines.
-
Follow OSHA and company safety standards with PPE.
Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED.
-
WRT certification (preferred but not required).
-
Ability to lift 50–75 lbs, work in tight spaces, and stand for extended periods.

Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Lead Restoration Technician
Role Summary:
The Lead Restoration Technician serves as the on-site leader, overseeing water mitigation operations throughout New Jersey. They ensure efficient, high-quality service delivery, manage junior technicians, and act as the customer liaison.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead and coordinate water extraction, drying setup, and structural assessments.

Serve as client’s main point of contact during projects.

Mentor and train junior technicians; enforce safety & PPE compliance.

Handle documentation: moisture readings, photos, logs.
-
Maintain and manage equipment readiness.

Participate in 24/7 emergency response rotations.
Qualifications:
-
Minimum 2 years in water damage restoration (WRT certification required).

Leadership or supervisory experience (1–2 years preferred).

Additional IICRC/OSHA certifications a plus.

Skilled with documentation tools, meters, and restoration software.

Ability to lift ~75 lbs and navigate job sites safely.

Valid driver’s license & ability to pass background check.
