On July 8, 2022, New Method Restoration received a call regarding a house fire that caused extensive damage to the property. Not only was there fire and smoke damage, but water damage resulted from extinguishing the fire. The entire interior of the home was irreparably damaged because of a stove fire.
Seasoned project manager, Josh Marks, arrived onsite to assess the extent of the damage and determine a detailed scope of work. After communicating with the homeowner’s insurance company, Josh quickly dispatched a crew of technicians to begin working on clearing the property.
Our certified technicians began work in the kitchen by removing the remaining drywall and plaster. They also bagged up all the content, discarding any items that could not be salvaged and storing those that could. They then continued throughout the rest of the home removing all sheetrock, plaster, and other building materials which were affected by the fire.
For the duration of this job, we had a dumpster and storage container onsite. All salvageable, cleanable items were carefully removed, sanitized, and placed in storage. All materials and content severely damaged by the fire, smoke and water were securely bagged and placed in the dumpster for proper disposal.
While all work was taking place, our trained technicians were sure to keep the property secured. Ensuring the home was secured included boarding up any/all windows that sustained any damage.
