New Jersey Water Damage Restoration Specialists
Our WATER RESTORATION PROCESS
On May 31, 2022, New Method Restoration responded to a call regarding a sump pump failure in a finished basement, resulting in flooding in a utility room, closet, bathroom, and main basement area.
Project manager Armand Pallino arrived at the property in under 90 minutes to assess the damages that occurred because of this failure. He documented all findings and presented the homeowner with a clear scope of recommended work.
Armand was also able to assist the homeowner during the process of filing an insurance claim for the damages incurred.
Our trained technicians arrived onsite quickly and began work in the main basement area, where they moved all content, set up containment in the space, removed baseboards and toe kicks, removed affected sheetrock and insulation, and removed laminate flooring.
In the bathroom, all content was moved, baseboards detached, affected sheetrock removed, and carpeting was removed and disposed of.
The door was detached from the affected closet, baseboards were detached, sheetrock was removed, and the carpeting was removed and disposed of.
Finally, in the utility room content was removed from the space prior to removing all affected sheetrock. After all affected materials were removed and disposed of, all surfaces were cleaned, sanitized, and disinfected using an organic antimicrobial spray. Several dehumidifiers, fans, and other specialty drying equipment was placed throughout the spaces to ensure proper, quick drying of all affected areas.
