Westfield, New Jersey
On August 8, 2022, New Method Restoration responded to a call regarding a drain line break in a bathroom. The break affected not only the bathroom where it occurred, but also the hallway below.
Project manager Adam Steig was dispatched and arrived onsite within 90 minutes to assess the damages that resulted. He inspected the affected areas, documented all findings with notes and photos, and presented the homeowner with a clear scope of recommended work. Adam was also able to assist the customer with filing a claim through their insurance company.
Our certified technicians were quickly dispatched and arrived onsite to begin the mitigation process in the affected spaces. They removed any content that was in the areas before removing baseboards, sheetrock, and insulation that had been affected by the break.
Once all affected materials were disposed of properly, the remaining studs and flooring were disinfected with an organic antimicrobial spray to prevent any future issues. Several dehumidifiers, air scrubbers, fans, and other specialty drying equipment was placed throughout to ensure proper drying took place.
