New Method Restoration received a call regarding a water heater leak on a second floor which affected the ceiling in the living room below.
Project manager Adam Steig was dispatched and arrived on site within 90 minutes to assess the damages. After a thorough inspection which included detailed notes, measurements, and photos, Adam presented his findings to the homeowner with a recommended scope of work to be done. Adam was also able to assist the homeowner with filing an insurance claim for the damages that occurred as a result of the leak.
Our certified technicians arrived onsite and began working in the living room where they removed the ceiling that had been damaged. On the second floor, they detached a washer and dryer before removing tile flooring that had been affected. Once all damaged materials were removed and disposed of, all areas that had been affected were disinfected with an organic antimicrobial spray to prevent future mold growth. Several dehumidifiers, fans, and other specialty drying equipment was placed in the spaces to ensure quick, proper drying took place.
