On August 12, 2022, New Method Restoration responded to a call regarding a dishwasher leak which affected not only the kitchen but also the basement below.
Project manager Keiron Brown arrived onsite in less than 90 minutes to assess the damages.
All findings were documented using photos and detailed notes. Keiron then presented the owner with a detailed scope of recommended work to be done and was also of assistance during the process of filing a claim through homeowners’ insurance.
Our certified professionals were dispatched and arrived at the property quickly to begin the necessary work. They began by detaching the dishwasher to gain access to the damaged materials surrounding the area.
They then removed baseboards, carpeting, laminate flooring, and a section of the ceiling in the basement which had been affected. After all affected materials were removed and properly disposed of, all areas were disinfected using an organic antimicrobial spray to prevent future mold growth.
Several dehumidifiers, fans, air scrubbers, and other specialty drying equipment was placed throughout the spaces to ensure proper drying took place quickly.
