Our WATER RESTORATION PROCESS
East Brunswick, New Jersey
On August 9, 2022, New Method Restoration received a call regarding a toilet and shower overflow in a finished basement which affected not only the bathroom but also 2 additional bedrooms and a hallway in the immediate area.
Project manager Cris Garczareck arrived onsite in under 90 minutes to assess the damages that resulted from the loss.
He documented all findings with photos and notes before presenting the homeowner with a clear scope of recommended work. He was then able to assist the owner with filing a claim through homeowners’ insurance for the loss.
Our trained technicians arrived onsite and began moving all content in the affected areas. They then proceeded to make 2-foot flood cuts in the bedrooms and bathroom, removing any drywall that had been affected by the overflow.
Doors were detached, the bathroom vanity was detached, and carpet and padding was removed from the bedrooms. Baseboard was removed in the hallway and 2-foot flood cuts were done, as well as removal of laminate flooring.
Once all damaged materials were removed and properly disposed of, all spaces that had been affected were disinfected using an organic antimicrobial spray to prevent mold growth.
Several dehumidifiers, fans, air scrubbers, and other specialty drying equipment was placed throughout to ensure proper drying took place as quickly as possible.
