On January 2, 2023 New Method Restoration received a call regarding a frozen pipe burst affecting a kitchen and basement below.
Project manager Cris Garczareck arrived onsite within 90 to do an initial inspection of the damages. Cris took many photos, detailed notes, and presented the homeowner with a clear scope of recommended work to be done. He was also about to help the property owner with filing an insurance claim for the damages.
Shortly after, our trained technicians arrived to begin work in the basement which included removing the drop ceiling, paneling, baseboards, and extracting any standing water in the affected area. In the kitchen they removed drywall and insulation, hardwood flooring, and baseboards. Once all affected material were discarded, the affected areas were disinfected with an organic antimicrobial spray. Dehumidifiers, fans, and other specialty drying equipment was placed throughout the areas to ensure drying took place quickly and properly.
